One of Grand Cayman’s oldest residential neighbourhoods, South Sound has huge appeal for families and young professionals alike. Just a stone’s throw from the centre of George Town, it’s home to some of the best schools on the island and a range of sports and leisure facilities. There’s a host of popular spots for swimming, snorkelling and watersports too, plus a boardwalk where you can enjoy sunset strolls and breathtaking coastal views.

In terms of location alone, South Sound is difficult to beat. Not only is it close to George Town, the airport, and all points north such as Seven Mile Beach and Camana Bay but it also offers easy access to the eastern end of the island.

Of course, you may not need to travel anywhere because there’s so much to do right on your doorstep. Spend a lazy afternoon swimming and snorkeling at Smith’s Barcadere, play a few sets at the Cayman Islands Tennis Club, watch a match at the Cayman Islands Rugby Club, enjoy dinner at the Grand Old House — when it comes to leisure, South Sound has it covered.

There’s a good mix of residential property options available, from substantial family homes to waterfront condos and traditional Caymanian cottages. And if you have kids to consider, there’s a choice of outstanding nursery, primary and high schools in the area, as well as the University College Cayman campus and the Truman Bodden Law School.
