If you’re looking for a slice of authentic island life but still want to be close to the action, West Bay is a great option. With its beautiful beaches, meandering coastal road and maze of narrow streets, it has a quiet charm all of its own yet it’s within easy reach of Seven Mile Beach, Camana Bay and George Town. It also offers an eclectic mix of residential properties, from luxury oceanfront homes and apartments to quaint island cottages.

In many ways, West Bay offers the best of both worlds. Located at the northernmost point of the island and surrounded by ocean to the north, east and west, there’s a real sense of being away from it all. But thanks to the Esterley Tibbetts highway, it’s incredibly easy to access Seven Mile Beach, George Town and beyond.

There’s a wide range of residential properties available, from canal-side living at The Shores to seafront condos at the Boggy Sands Club, and a number of glorious beaches to explore, such as Cemetery Beach and Barkers National Park.

The area offers fantastic diving, snorkelling, kite surfing, horseback riding and cycling and there’s no shortage of great restaurants and cafés either, from the Cracked Conch and Ristorante Pappagallo to Heritage Kitchen and VIVO.

As for shopping, you’ll find all the essentials such as groceries, banking and gas within easy reach. And families are well catered for with three local schools — a government primary and a private primary and high school.
